The European Central Bank will soon decide whether to move ahead with the preparatory work to launch a digital euro, a complex project that would facilitate digital payments but could also shake the foundations of the financial system. On April 14th, the ECB published the results of the public consultation on a digital euro: citizens and professionals alike value privacy most for possible future digital euro.
