After 15 successful Young Professionals Seminars and the establishment of a broad network of more than 350 Young Professionals from all over Europe, the time has come for the next step: To involve the YP alumni more intensively in the work of United Europe.
We asked all 2014-2019 participants to apply for the Young Professionals Advisor workshop, to define four main topics of interest and work together in groups for the next 12 month via the digital platform Slack.
On 26th and 27th July 2019, 18 alumni from 13 European countries (Armenia, Austria, Bosnia-Herzegowina, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Georgia, Serbia, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, and The Netherlands) gathered in Berlin for the 1st YP Advisors workshop, to discuss tasks, expectations, and possibilities how to work together across borders.
Together the group has identified four issues: Energy transition & climate change, democracy, security, and digitization. We have formed the working groups accordingly, developed subquestions and goals for each topic and started to get used to the platform Slack.
The aim is to make the Young Professionals more visible, involve their desk research in United Europe’s 2020 agenda and to gain more insight about the diverse perspectives on the future of Europe. The results will be published on United Europe’s Website and it’s social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook).
The workshop was kindly supported by PWC.
