Overview
Valon Murtezaj believes in humanism and deeply holds values of peace, freedom and democracy. Dr Valon MURTEZAJ, is a professor, diplomat, expert on negotiation and conflict management. He is a Permanent Professor at prestigious IESEG School of Management in Paris, France.
Approach
His working approach is based on the capacity to listen actively, to understand, display empathy and find solutions. He engages actively and positively to better solve conflicts in various settings and dimensions in a multicultural environment. His mentoring approach is to create leaders that are constructive players able to develop relationships, value diversity of systems and create solutions in the global arena.
Career History
During his long academic career, his teaching and research has focussed on topics such as international negotiation and diplomacy, conflict management and leadership. He has presented at conferences and research seminars in Europe and USA. He has also acquired extensive professional experience working in different capacities with international organizations such as UNICEF, Médecins Sans Frontières, Save the Children, UNDP and other international projects, including senior leadership positions with the Government of Republic of Kosovo.
In recognition to his distinguished merits and achievement in professional and university activities, professor Murtezaj was awarded the Officer of National Order of Merit by the President of French Republic. Further, for distinguished achievement and successful career, Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, inducted him in it’s Alumni Hall of Fame.

Valon’s education, work and life experience is inter-disciplinary, multicultural and global.
Married to Mrs. Ilvije Dragusha, who is a soprano and teaches music.
Lives in Paris, France and Prishtina, Kosovo.
