United Europe's Working Groups

We are pleased to announce the establishment of the United Europe Working Groups 2024. These groups aim to address key European areas of interest and provide a platform for our members to contribute within the United Europe network.

The timeframe for each working group is set at approximately one year, encompassing three meetings (in person and online).

Günther H. Oettinger, President of United Europe, will personally attend the final meeting of the working groups. As a result, the participants will work on expert papers to be published through our channels and submitted for consideration at the European Parliament.

The following working groups will be established:

• Working Group on Competitiveness, Innovation & Energy Transition
  Burkhard von Kienitz, E.ON SE, CEO Processes, chairs the working group.

  – Wednesday, 5 June 2024 from 14.00 – 16.00 (CET) in Berlin
•  Working Group on Digital Transformation, European Sovereignty, and Cybersecurity
  Professor Kurt J. Lauk, President of Globe Capital Partners, chairs the working group. 
  – Monday, 19 February 2024 from 12.00 – 13.30 (CET) via Zoom
  – Wednesday, 13 March 2024 from 17.00 – 18.30 (CET) via Zoom
  – Thursday, 4 April 2024 from 10.00 – 11.30 (CET) in Lech am Arlberg
  – Friday, 17 May 2024 from 12.00 – 13.30 (CET) via Zoom
• Working Group on Brics+, Transatlantic Relations, and G7
  Jan Kallmorgen, Equity Partner at EY Strategy & Transactions, chairs the working group.
