Lecture with Can Dündar: “Europe – A Turkish View”

We are delighted to discuss with the multi-award-winning Turkish journalist, documentary filmer, book author and editor in chief of the Turkish-German platform Özgürüz, Can Dündar. On 16th March, he will speak in a United Europe lecture about the current situation between Europe and Turkey.

Can Dündar is one of the most prominent and courageous journalists. After he has published some critical articles about the Turkish government in 2015, he and his colleague were sentenced to long prison terms. He succeeded in leaving Turkey; since 2016 he has been living in exile in Germany.
Since then, he is calling for keeping up the dialogue between Europe and Turkey. In our lecture he will give a deep insight into the cultural and mental characteristics of his country and will show, how to deal with Turkey in these challenging times.
