General Assembly and Panel Discussion at Europäisches Haus, Berlin

Günther H. Oettinger, President of United Europe and Dr Jürgen Großmann, Treasurer of United Europe, have the great pleasure of inviting the members of United Europe to the General Assembly of United Europe on April 26th, 2023 from 18h30 to 19h00 at the Europäisches Haus Berlin.
Our agenda comprises the following points:
- Welcome by the President of United Europe
- Appointment of the minute’s taker by the President of United Europe
- Determination of the orderly convocation of the meeting and the presence of a quorum of the General Assembly
- Review & Outlook for 2023
- Interim financial statement
- Discharge of the Board of United Europe
- Election and re-election of the Board of United Europe
- Miscellaneous
The list of candidates for the election of the Board will be sent out in due time before the General Assembly.
Afterwards, from 19h00 – 20h00, we invite you cordially to our panel discussion “The European Union before the 2024 elections: starting position, issues, personnel and reform need”. Who are Europe’s leaders of tomorrow? What political content is crucial for the Commission, the institutions, the political groups and the parties? What will the political landscape look like in the future? In spring 2024, the citizens of the European Union will elect the European Parliament for the tenth time.
A topic we would like to discuss with the following guests: Dr Jörg Wojahn, Representative of the European Commission in Germany, and Günther H. Oettinger, President of United Europe, will open the discussion with keynote speeches.
Moderator Sonja Alvarez Sobreviela, Deputy Chief Editor of Wirtschaftswoche, will discuss these issues with Dr Ralf Stegner, Member of the German Bundestag (SPD), Dr Nicolai von Ondarza, Senior Fellow at SWP, and Hans von der Burchard, Senior Politics Reporter at Politico.
From 20h00 to 21h30 there will be a flying dinner, networking with our guests and the Executive Board.
