CEO Roundtable: "Industrial Transformation - How to strengthen Europe as a business location?"
Event Details
On 15 March 2023, United Europe would like to discuss at a working dinner how the European industry can be competitive in the face of transformation and structural change. How to avoid deindustrialisation? How can Europe address the major concerns about energy costs, security of supply, Joe Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act and new protectionism? How can supply chains for critical raw materials for the green energy transition be maintained and stable supplies at home and abroad be ensured? Only by promoting smart industrial policies can the EU and its Member States survive in the face of climate change, digitalisation and deglobalisation.
After welcoming speeches by Günther H. Oettinger, President of United Europe, Dr Jörg Wojahn, Representative of the European Commission in Germany, an introduction by State Secretary Dr Jörg Kukies, Federal Chancellery and an introduction by Dr Manuel Kallweit, Chief economist at ‘Verband der Automobilindustrie’ (VDA), we look forward to an interesting discussion with our guests.
