17th and 18th of June United Europe organises a two-day United Europe Advocacy Seminar on “Africa and Europe – a strategic partnership at last?”, taking place on-site at ESMT in Berlin. The seminar focuses on European Africa policy in the areas of energy, critical raw materials, security and supply chains, and will explore these issues in depth with participants through lectures, workshops and scenario labs. Among other things, questions about Africa’s prospects for energy production and “green” technologies will be elaborated on, but also the topic of Africa’s agriculture between food security and modern value chains will be addressed.
The second day of the seminar will focus on the geopolitical offensive of China and Russia on the African continent. The seminar will be moderated by Prof. Andreas Freytag and Dr Helmut Asche. Our speakers include Hildegard Bentele, MEP, Khadi Camara, Afrika Verein, Matthias Wachter, BDI, and Dr. Manuel Fröling from Siemens Energy.
