Health diplomacy and strong European and multilateral cooperation are essential to protect and promote the health of all people. In an interconnected world where climate change, pandemics, and the food systems we rely on transcend borders, coordinated and equitable health governance becomes not only necessary but a shared responsibility. Safeguarding independent, evidence-based science is central to this effort, ensuring that policy remains grounded in integrity and oriented toward the public good.
As a medical doctor with a background in public health, I came to understand early on how deeply people’s health is shaped by the social and political environments in which they live. This insight is what motivates my commitment to health diplomacy and to strengthening cooperation across Europe and within the wider multilateral system. Health is inseparable from justice, and equitable policies are the foundation of a stable and democratic society.
I am guided by a strong belief in humanitarian principles, dialogue, and shared responsibility as the basis for just and lasting improvements in population health.
My goal is to help build a Europe that leads by example, upholding democracy, human dignity, and sustainability, whilst promoting fairness in global health.
