United Europe’s last two events of this year took place yesterday evening (5th December) at the Würth AG representative office in Berlin with the annual general meeting and a subsequent panel discussion on the expectations of the new EU Commission.
After 11 own events, 10 cooperations, the article series “Europe can do better” together with the Handelsblatt and the presentation of the SignsAward in the category “Integration in Communication” as well as several other initiatives, United Europe is ending an eventful, exciting and successful 2019.
In the panel discussion, Elmar Brok (CDU Federal Executive Committee, Union of European Federalists), Dr. Jürgen Großmann (Treasurer and Founder United Europe), Steffen Kampeter (Managing Director of the Federation of German Employers’ Associations, BDA), Dr. Wolfgang Schüssel (President United Europe and former Austrian Chancellor), Marina Tcharnetsky (Managing Director of CEBCON Technologies GmbH, Vice-President of the Club of European Women Entrepreneurs) and Dr. Marie-Theres Thiell (CEO Innogy Hungary) discussed the expectations of the new EU Commission under Ursula von der Leyen.
The lively and controversial discussion was moderated by Gordon Repinski (Deputy Editor-in-Chief, RND Network).
A detailed summary including the result of the board elections will follow shortly.
