Angela Kane is an experienced leader in political affairs operating in a complex multicultural environment, an executive manager of international multi-billion operation, a high-level expert in international peace operations and disarmament and has extensive field experience with several posting in Asia and Africa. She is Member and Chair of the Council of the United Nations University, Visiting Professor at Paris School of International Affairs (SciencesPo), and member of PSIA Strategic Council as well as Senior Fellow at the Vienna Center for Non-Proliferation and Disarmament, Vice-President of the International Peace Institute in Vienna, reserve member at the High-Level Expert Group on Artificial Intelligence of the European Commission, Co- Chair of the Global Future Council on the Korean Peninsula of the World Economic Forum, former Chair of the Global Action Council on Nuclear Security of the World Economic Forum (2014-2016).
From 2012 – 2015 she has been the UN High Representative for Disarmament Affairs and Under-Secretary-General for Management in the United Nations.
