Ab van der Touw

Board member
Ab van der Touw pursued studies in Classical Languages and History at the University of Leiden. He also earned an certification in Production & Inventory Management from APICS, Princeton, USA. He completed an MBA Executive Program at Duke University in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA.
From 2009 to 2018, Ab van der Touw served as the President of Siemens Group Netherlands. Prior to this, from 2003 to 2010, he was a Member of the Executive Committee at Siemens Netherlands. His career with Siemens began in 1985, during he held various management positions in The Hague, Brussels, and Munich, contributing to the company’s growth and leadership.
Currently, Ab van der Touw hold several significant leadership roles. He serves as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board at TenneT Holding BV and the University of Leiden. He also serves as the Chairman of the Nederlandse Bach Vereniging and the Fonds Slachtofferhulp. Furthermore, he is the Chairman of the Supervisory Boards at Hülskens / NIBA and Royal Van Leeuwen Buizen.
In addition to these positions, Ab van der Touw is a Member of the Board of the Foundation GAK, which focuses on Employment and Social Security. He also hold the position of Chairman of the Board at the Deutsch-Niederländischen Handelskammer (German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce) and at the Platform voor Technologie Talent. Additionally, he serves as Chairman of the Advisory Councils for both the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Infrastructure.
