
United Europe has designed a unique European mentoring programme, which focuses specifically on topics related to Europe. The non-commercial programme is specifically tailored to relevant EU topics and was developed in cooperation with Bernotat & Cie., a company specialised in mentoring programmes for managers from a corporate environment and medium-sized businesses.
With this programme, United Europe and Bernotat & Cie. offer exclusively United Europe’s Young Professional Advisors the opportunity to exchange views with experienced mentors on important topics for a duration of nine to 12 months.
The aim is to connect interesting Europeans from different generations, angles and countries to deepen connections and encourage exchange on topics like:
1. Career path in the EU setting
2. Corporate citizenship in the EU
3. Transferring rare practical insights from the executive board perspective
4. Refining critical thinking in the EU context
5. Broadening and strengthening networks within EU associations
6. Lifelong skill building that outlives a specific career path
7. Women & Leadership in the EU
8. Nurturing a practical diverse European and cross-border thinking
9. Cross-sectional topics may include: Digitalisation, EU enlargement & integration, EU financial markets and monetary policy, Climate Change, Security, Healthcare etc.
Mentees
The first edition of the mentoring programme is aimed exclusively at United Europe’s Young Professional Advisors who have worked on recent projects and who are committed to the ideas and ideals of United Europe. The Young Professional Advisors work in European companies, institutions or associations across the European continent where European issues are part of everyday life, which they deal with and which are important to them. These include topics such as European integration, the Euro zone, digitisation and AI, climate change, finance and economics, democracy, security and foreign policy, environmental protection as well as topics on the future of Europe and the technological revolution, European financial policy and much more.
Mentors
The mentors come from the networks of Bernotat & Cie. and United Europe and have mostly extensive experience in developing top talent and high potentials in companies. Through the programme, mentors have the opportunity to meet interesting young people from all over Europe and support them in their questions and tasks.
Bernotat & Cie. is responsible for the professional development and placement of the mentoring program and for the training of the mentors. All mentors assigned to the program are supervised by Bernotat & Cie. to ensure the quality of the programme.
