Barbara Tasch-Ronner

Barbara Tasch-Ronner is a lawyer and expert for multilateral and bilateral trade policy of the European Union and for export control at the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber in Vienna. She focuses on the multilateral trading system of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), the EU’s bilateral investment protection agreements with third countries and the international reform of investment protection/dispute settlement (MIC, ICSID, UNCITRAL, Energy Charter Treaty).
She has written numerous trade policy publications in the book series “Focus on Foreign Trade”. She advises and supports Austrian companies in their export and import transactions regarding EU sanctions and other export control issues.
She completed her law studies at the Karl-Franzens University in Graz. After her court year, she worked for the Austrian advertising industry in the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber and became the managing director of the Austrian Advertising Council at the age of 30.
She has four children and lives on a farm in Styria.
