The management team is in charge of setting up the activities and projects of United Europe and organizing the administration of the association.
Since 1 October, 2017, Sabine Sasse has been serving as managing director of United Europe.
For many years she has worked as a freelance journalist, e.g. for Süddeutsche Zeitung, Süddeutsche Magazin, Stern, Die Woche, Der Tagesspiegel, and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. Following seven years as head of PR in Schlosspark-Theater Berlin, she has worked in different projects for Kulturprojekte Berlin as well as for Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg next to authoring and editing various media publications. Since 2007, Sabine was leading the international media conference M100 Sanssouci Colloquium in Potsdam, Germany, which includes a forum for aspiring young journalists from all over Europe. Sabine has studied in Göttingen and Berlin and holds a master degree in German and Journalism from FU Berlin.
Rieke Schües has been Managing Director of United Europe since November, 2018. As a strategic communications consultant, she was previously responsible for corporate communications and public affairs for five years in an international management consultancy. Prior to that, she worked as a PR consultant in London and Sydney. Since 2011 she has lectured on the Political Communications Masters course at Zeppelin University and the University of Applied Science Europe. Rieke Schües has studied economics, communications, and EU law in London, the Netherlands and southern Germany.
