Dies war die Botschaft von EU-Kommissar Johannes Hahn bei einer gemeinsamen Veranstaltung von Bertelsmann Stiftung und United Europe am 15. April in Br\u00fcssel. Gemeinsam mit Politikern und Experten aus der Ukraine und Polen wurde dar\u00fcber diskutiert, warum die Entwicklung in der Ukraine seit 1991 um so vieles schlechter verlief als die im benachbarten Polen.<\/p>\n<p>Bei der Veranstaltung stellten Michael Landesmann und Peter Havlik vom Wiener Institut f\u00fcr Internationale Wirtschaftsvergleiche (wiiw) eine neue Studie \u00fcber die Wirtschaft der Ukraine vor, die das Institut im Auftrag von United Europe erstellt hatte.
